Core values:

  • Providing a safe & loving environment

  • Respecting residents as adults

  • Teaching life & social skills when appropriate

  • Leading residents towards independence

  • Supporting home, school & work-related goals

We are a team of family, friends, and community members who believe in supporting each other and helping others to live their best lives. Our goal includes lowering the statistics of young adults experiencing homelessness after leaving foster care. We hope to be an immediate option for those who have aged out of foster care and who are also prepared to accept our assistance.

A live-in house manager will maintain Coalescent Care's core values and also ensure that each resident adheres to their individual success program. The house manager will conduct weekly meetings to discuss progressions, challenges, needs, household responsibilities/bills and any other relevant information.  House, school and job responsibilities are to be expected as well as familiarity with our zero-tolerance policy and regulations. Abuse of the zero-tolerance policy will result in eviction and program dismissal.

Every resident's end goal is to maintain employment, modes of transportation, healthy bill paying habits and relationships; then transition to their own apartment or desired living arrangement. We do not provide permanent housing, however, we assist residents with securing an apartmental lease if necessary.

Key objectives of our residential independence program:

  • To provide a safe place for young adults to grow and become self-sufficient
  • To establish, monitor and successfully help each resident reach their goals
  • To provide a network of practical services specifically for our residents
  • To ensure independent success by maintaining relationships and continued support
